Oops! Pay Per Post Sent me that Blog Disqualification Notice

Whenever I came back from my summer mountain escape of one month, I knew that I would have to do finger aerobics and type really fast so I could write a lot more posts. Well, that intuition was correct because this evening I received that fated email from IZEA's Pay Per Post informing me that my blog doesn't qualify. In the list of reasons, the obvious one is that I don't have the minimum 20 posts in 90 days. That's really not a lot of blog posts and ideally I want to have way more than that.

Update for my Blogs: Posting and other News

After a month long sabbatical in the high mountains of New Mexico, I 'm striving to update my blogs and get my weekly postings up to a decent level. It's a lot of work because I have 33 blogs just on blogspot and about ten others in their own domains that are hosted either privately or on other services. So here's the skinny on my latest activity.

Advertise on Blogs and Watch your Business Explode with New Interest

Advertise on blogs

Believe me, this is a very effective way to advertise! I write reviews about any thing that captures my interest and I can tell you that people pay attention to blogs. Whenever I use certain keywords, I notice that people find a post on one of my blogs by using a related search. This is how I make new friends because often they comment on my post. Of course, I reciprocate. A conversation continues after such a common ground beginning.

Web Directories Interface with the Booming Internet Business World

A web directory is an internet tool that is fast becoming the necessary cog in the wheel that turns this fast technological machine. If you think about it, how could you find anything online without a directory to compliment the multiple search engines that have sprung up by the dozens?

Blogging is an Open Conversation that Requires Participation

Blogging and its many aspects has become one of my favorite topics to explore and to blog about these days. I am investigating all the techniques of blogging, how to build blogs, ways to promote them and especially looking at their unique aspect as a communication tool. Blogs are conversations. In my research, I look for outlets on which to share my insights and to gather other information from other writers who talk about blogging. It is a quest.

Memorial Fund for Gabriel

It is with a heavy heart that I write this today because I miss a little boy named Gabriel. Watching his brother Raven and his father Woodstock, a/k/a Loren David O'Connor, suffer through the pain of their loss while trying to make arrangements for his burial, memorial and wake is really hard.

What's New in The Midnight Writer's World?

Travel is a big part of this past two months and in a way it feels very good after being stuck and broken down in Alexandria, Virginia. I feel that we did not give this city or the entire Washington DC region a fair chance because of our circumstances with the van needing such a big repair job. It is definitely a place to return under different circumstances so we can visit all the sites.

This is one of my favorite blogs in The Midnight Writer's Network, though lately I have been neglecting it. That is rapidly changing. The Spotlight Feature will be highlighting weekly within the next month or two. Affiliate programs will receive reviews here and I will continue to share my stories about Cephas and I traveling the nation.

The Next Phase in Freelance Writing: Private Clients

LOS ANGELES, CA - APRIL 04: Writer John Wells...Image by Getty Images via Daylife
It has been a long time in coming for me bit in the past month I have been building a relationship with private clients who sought me out. I was surprised when the offers starting coming into my email inbox. Naturally, I accepted the offers each time they came because they were good offers to write reviews on my blogs.
