Your Business Life Needs to be in Sync with your Spiritual Life

There is no separation between your spiritual life and your business life. Every moment that you are alive belongs to God who gave that moment to you. Use every one of those moments to His glory, if you are a professed believer. Live in His will, His spirit in every moment and in every aspect of your life.

Business is not a separate part of who you are spiritually. Learn how you can be an example and a witness in all areas of your life in every moment that you live. Being a blogger gives ample opportunity to share Christ and your faith in many ways. You can write to uplift, to inspire, to encourage. You can help others have faith simply by your witness.

The Days of March are Melting Away

Have you noticed that when you try to get a lot done that time just rolls away?

It has been especially true for me lately. Ever since I began a serious effort to establish a blogging and freelance writing business, time just seems to slip on into the future. (yeah, I borrowed that from a song, so I'm going to share the video.)

When I set the intention to update my blogs regularly and to post updates about all my work on all my blogs, on new domains and my website, I forgot one very important thing.

Life Happens. Life is unpredictable.

Unforseen things in life happen.

Time unfolds according to the will of the spirit of God and if you are in tune with that spirit, sometimes you just need to go with the leading and the flow of the river of time and life.

That is what happened this winter.

I was reminded about the power of the universe.
I was reminded about following the will of God.
I was reminded that you cannot control most things in life.

One can only set intentions and hope that those intentions are aligned with the supreme Creator and the will of the universe.

There are no regrets if you go with the flow of the spirit.

Only lessons and experiences.
Take them for what they are and embrace life.

Realize that time is fleeting. All you have is this second. Nothing more. As soon as one second passes you are living in the now which quickly passes into the future moment. The past is not retrievable. Rather, the past was created to help us remember. To learn. To grow. And to appreciate the moment.

Somewhere along this road, I took a big detour into my destiny. I thought I understood my part in my life and that I knew what my calling required of me. I failed to realize that God only gives us knowledge of our future moments in small increments as we are able to receive them. Otherwise, our free will to choose and to walk in the now would be compromised, and our great lessons as mortals would be in vain. We are on this earth to experience, to grow, to learn how to be flesh and spirit. This is the greatest opportunity that God could give his children.

This winter, I took a trip with my husband to Washington D.C. I/we thought we knew how it would work out because we knew why we went there and what we needed to do. Speaking for myself, I had no idea about any of it whatsoever. I had to surrender to the will and spirit of Almighty God as He took hold of my/our intentions and let His Will that we prayed to be done unfold. What a surprise!

I/we are still digesting all of this past six months of our lives trying to understand what it means, what we learned and where do we go from here.

There are some things about purpose and direction that I understand very well. I just don't know the details of the how, when, where, why, who and how much...not yet. But I'm putting my ear to the wind to listen for the call of the spirit and praying that I will hear with my heart and spirit so I won't need to be reminded by God getting my attention. Spending two months in a parking lot at Walmart will really get your attention!

The Holy Spirit of God is calling me back to the fold of the will of His love and His Spirit to work in His will all my moments. I am indeed walking the Jericho road and need to focus my time, my energy, my heart, in the service of Jesus the Christ, who is my Lord and Savior. I will be sharing more of my spiritual heart with my readers and testifying of God's great love, mercy, and grace.

May we all walk in peace of the spirit and in the will of God every moment as time slips into the future and finally into eternity.

You've Got to Keep on Moving!

Here's the skinny update on some of my domain blogs. I have been super busy trying to catch up to all the assignments necessary to keep this blogging business on the move.

Blog Day Planner - most recent update was today with the post "Rainy Day in Tennesee". This post contains some good information so take a look at it and give me your feedback, please. Be sure to visit the sidebar on my blogs and others when you visit. Very often, they contain gems.

The Midnight Writer is Blazing a Blogging Trail

What have I been working on lately you ask? Blazing a blogging trail that is still emitting dust clouds into the air because I ran through at such high speed, the dust has not had time to settle yet.

For one thing, my ghost writing career has taken off and naturally, I cannot tell you about it. Ghost writing protects the identity of the one who hires the writer, so it seems like a thankless job. The money can be good, if you search out a reputable and profitable offer. You just can't claim it publicly. That's not really a negative aspect because ghost writing jobs can be used to pad your portfolio. My folio is smoking!

Time to Tally the Progress for the Month

A few months ago, I set out to establish domains and to upgrade blogs. This one was created particularly to follow the progress of this work and to study as well as articulate ways to improve the various blog projects.

I believe I have reached a domain count of

Making More Upgrades in our Freelance Writing Business

Last month Cephas and I set the intention to make the move in upgrading our freelance writing business. We took the brave step to buy new domains, totaling seven domains now. Some of these domains have hosting, while others received a temporary face-lift with new themes or templates.

We will continue to strive to improve the frequency of our posts as well as the quality of our posts. You will see more reviews, more freelance writing and blogging resources, more products available from our sponsors.

I will be writing more creative articles and I will be talking more about the freelance writing programs and companies that I currently use to help me support our (Mountain Spirit Productions) efforts to support the growth process of our young company.

In the near future, you will see the company blog for Mountain Spirit Productions be released, which is very exciting for us. We hope you will join us as we share our journey into the freelance writing, blogging and affiliate marketing world online.

Getting Back to the Basics

Blogging and freelance writing can be an intricate web that is woven through the beginnings and endings and all the creativity that becomes somewhere in between.

Where does all this creativity lead?

In my case, it leads to dozens of blogs that need photos, content, catchy titles, links, monetizing ideas to support the blogs and most importantly, READERS!!!

The Latter is definitely the most challenging.

How do you accomplish all of these tasks?

And simultaneously....

By getting back to basics.

Basics of Blogging

~ Come up with creative ideas to support a blog with at least one post per week.
~ Outline enough depth to support the main theme of the blog.

Catching Up

These past three months have been some of the swiftest in my life that I can remember. I experienced so much change and rapid pace in my life as my husband and I traveled from California to Washington DC on our peace mediation mission.

Stranded here when our vehicle broke down the day that we arrived, November 12, 2008, has really given us/me a new perspective on life. I am reminded how much I am not in control of my destiny, rather I only respond to some invisible call of the spirit that somehow guides each of us on our journey.

Almost six weeks later, we are still in Alexandria, Virginia, taking new stock in our plans and refocusing to set intentions for the new year. The main thing on my mind is to do the best that I can do to live as a peaceful, kind, giving person and do all that I am spiritually and physically able to help bring peace in this world, even if only in some small way.

The other goals that I have are to settle old debts, catch up on internet work to include all my blogs. Stay tuned this week as I strive to bring this blog up to date. I have a lot of news to share and a lot of articles to write. Updates will take me a solid month of dedicated blogging. It is an exciting time and I hope you will return to join me on the continued quest for becoming a successful peace ambassador and freelance writer.

My husband and I will be unveiling our plans for a Middle East Peace Mission on these blogs in the very near future. Join us and pray for the wars to end.

Peace be with you.

Social Site Update

Today I upgraded my Twitter account for the sake of communicating with other members from freelance writing and blogging communities.

Read the actual post titled "Midnight on Twitter" on The Midnight Writer's domain blog by clicking here. Quality Gal inspired me to upgrade my Twitter account since they posted the links to all their Twitter members who are also freelance writers for Quality Gal. I recently joined their ranks as a ghost writer, but am awaiting approval and feedback from the Editor.

My posts have not been frequent as I had hoped to provide, so I will strive for improvement daily. Again, the more I learn about this freelance blogging, freelance writing and affiliate marketing business, the more I realize that it takes great time management and planning to be able to keep up to the tasks required. A work at home freelance writing job is a career that needs constant developing and management in the beginning.

Today's Posts

1. Midnight on Twitter - An article about Social Sites and getting around to updating my profiles on multiple social networking sites. This is an introduction to my profile on Twitter, so join me there.

2. Social Site Update - just the every day update I set the intention to make whenever I post on any site. This article is actually a place and a method to help focus attention and to share about the mulitple sites to which I belong.

Keep Up the Pace

Striving to keep up with my own goals for the benefit of my own self-discipline, which will ultimately benefit my readers, I will post here five days a week. At least, that is my intention.

The blog posts for today are:

1. Focus For Today- This was an article on Blog Day Planner. Keeping with my intention for these two blogs, the one you are reading, and the Blog Day Planner, I am striving to write five times a week on these blogs.

You may have noticed an Entrecard on this site. I just finished loading it today. I spent a few minutes dropping to bring viewers here, but my most important task in the next month is to bring in quality content for this blog as well as traffic to read the content.

This entire process will be successful only if you come back to read this blog.

Please post your suggestions in the comment section or email themidnightwriter1@gmail.com

Visit my other sites to drop your Entrecards at The Midnight Writers Journal, Blog Day Planner, The Midnight Writer.

My first objective here is to build my personal backlinks, to help you build backlinks to your site through reciprocal linking and to fully research this process in blogging. Tomorrow, I will begin an outline listing the topics to be covered. Suggestions are very welcome.

Remember to leave your link when leaving a comment.

Excited About Entrecard

Entrecard is a program that allows bloggers to drop their "card" on one another. The entrecard specific to your site and designed by "you" using imagery and text of your choice, is loaded into the Entrecard dashboard, then onto the blog for which you created it.

Thousands of bloggers surf Entrecard through their dashboard, and "drop" on your widget. Don't worry, Entrecard software takes care of all the technical details. All you do is surf and drop.

The concept behind Entrecard is to facilitate a social network on one site whereby bloggers can visit one another's sites, drop on each other's widget to let the person know you came by - sort of a drop by howdy- this helps to increase your blog views and it helps to inspire networking and communication among bloggers.

I absolutely love Entrecard and I am sure you will, too. If you have not already tried it, cruise on over and sign up today. Load your card on your blog and start surfing and dropping. Be sure to come back here to visit me in a couple days. My Entrecard will be fully active by then on this site.

Meanwhile, visit my other blogs that have Entrecard and drop a howdy there, please. I encourage comments on my blogs as well and will gladly reciprocate. Leave a link to your blog when you visit. I welcome it. Further, I will write a blog review if you make a request on one of my blogs. Or email me at themidnightwriter1@gmail.com.

There are just a few rules to keep in mind. Entrecard requires that you have a blog before registering at their site. Blogs must have a minimum of five entries. The Entrecard widget must be loaded on the blog that is registered on your dashboard account.

Have fun surfing and dropping. See you in Entrecard land!
One more fun bonus that a lot of bloggers ad to make it more fun is listing their top ten Entrecard droppers on one of their blogs with a link back to the dropper. This gives you back links and brings new people over to your site to hang out now and then.
