During this time I experienced some financial difficulty but the neat surprise in this whole experience is that I did not lose one bit of data.

Squarespace - you rock!!!!

This is my big news of the week. If you haven't visited my new/old site yet, hurry on over by clicking this link to The Midnight Writer's Journal and check it out. I think you'll like the reading and the blog's style.

I take suggestions and content or topic requests so be sure to express your view by leaving a comment. Hurry over there today and visit Sherwood Forest. Have fun blogging!

Revolution Matrix One Returns

I'm excited to announce the return of one of my blogs that expired. I retrieved the domain name and purchased a Wordpress blog space for it. I'll be rebuilding Revolution Matrix One in the coming weeks and will announce its big debut right here on my blog network. There's some extra excitement about the return of this blog. I have invited a ghost writing friend of mine to write some feature posts because her interests are close to mine and this will bring diversity to my blog. Come back for the grand debut and meet Sarah Rhoades. She is a family history and history/theater buff so if any of these areas capture your mind you will want to meet Sarah.

I will be featuring some famous literary works while dabbling in some advertising tips, tricks and networking. I'm considering the idea of having one special guest writer a week aside from Sarah Rhoades and "yours truly" so if you are interested in splashing your soul on our pages, leave a comment below with your email and I'll get back to you with all the details.

See you in the REVOLUTION MATRIX ONE!

Today's Focus is still updating blog posts

I am on a quest to retrieve my blog rank and about a dozen domains for hosted blogs that I had to drop due to health, financial and personal issues this year. My writing days are filled with finding useful interesting content for multiple blogs. The focus is set for a dozen blogs at a time until I can achieve posts two to three times per week and gain back my 2 and 3 blog ranks that I had on most of them before my blogging crash. In case you were wondering, Cephas and I took some trips this year that shifted our focus to personal and family time as well as a pursuit of a dream to write a novel that will become a movie. We are in the midst of that venture even now. Our plans are taking us to the Redwoods for some serious writing and business focus then back to Los Angeles to meet with some folks who will help bring this dream to fruition.

Today, I 've chosen some of my most commonly read blogs to update which includes the one you're reading now. Other posts included an article about the Tule Fog that covered a wide swath of the Sacramento Valley and an article about novel writing on Freelance Review. I'll be turning my focus to my book later so I probably won't be writing many posts tonight. Enjoy reading and please keep on writing. If you have a good article to share and want to guest post on one of my blogs, just leave a comment below and I'll contact you by email. Want to be a guest writer today?

I'm working on updating blogs

I don't have any new blogs to announce but I am working to update about thirty in my blog network. My rank suffered on my six month downtime and I'm still working on retrieving some domains. Give me a couple months and everything will be running smoothly. I have some offline projects that are keeping me bustling that I will announce news about on my blogs. Meanwhile, check out the latest posts and stay tuned for more news as it happens.

Visit The Midnight Writer to see a video we shot last year in the redwood forests of northern California along the Avenue of the Giants. I'm reminiscing while a plan a trip there in the very near future. I call this "My Heart is in the Redwoods".

Head on over to my Classy World Hotels blog to see photos of a very chic hotel in Athens. If you're planning a trip to Greece any time soon then you'll want to read about this five star hotel featured on my blog.

I wrote about my aspirations for peace on Making of a Walking.  This post is titled "The Journey for Peace is an Eternal Quest".  If you want some spiritual food then visit there and ponder the concepts that I shared.

I'll be making updates on many of my blogs in the coming weeks so watch for those announcements right here and please make suggestions for content on any of my blogs, including this one. I'm looking for ideas on how to use this site to discuss freelance writing and blogging as a profession or for private expression.

Countdown till 2012 Blog chronicles prophetic Events

Tune into this blog which is fast becoming a favorite of my readers, advertisers and yours truly. Please bear with the guest posts and the advertisements as I work on research for more intriguing subject matter that is destined to fill its pages. After all, a starving writer has to eat sometime and the advertisers help cover my online costs so that my stories come to my audience freely. Please support my sponsors just by returning to Countdown till 2012 often to read the latest on cataclysmic events, severe weather, solar flares, CME's, tornadoes, volcanic eruptions, tidal waves, earthquakes, planetary alignments and eclipses.

It's hard to choose a topic for this blog whenever I sit down to write on it because there are so many events taking place on a planetary scale that merit covering. In one given day, I can choose from a volcano erupting in Hawaii to the solar sunrise eclipse that is accompanied by meteor showers. If that's not intense enough for story headlines then what do you think of large portions of Australia flooding or England having an earthquake? See my dilemma? There are so many stories to cover that my new blog related to prophetic events that are leading up to the prophesied event of polarity shift that I cannot cover them alone. It takes an entire news team to just brief the topics on a daily basis.

The long and short of my point is that Countdown till 2012 will continue to research the facts to these sensational headlines so I can bring the story to its pages for you to read. And I'll keep doing that right on into 2012 when we will all find out if the Mayans were right. If they were, then I'll be seeing you in the fifth world and we'll share life on a whole new level. Enjoy reading and please share your ideas for my favorite topic, prophesy as it relates to current world events.

I'm still negotiating the buy back of some Domain Names

If you are a regular reader of my blogs, then you probably noticed that some of my sites completely vanished. Others get that annoying ad when you type in the domain url. That is because I lost some of my hosted domains and the updates on others due to some financial and health problems. I went through a tough period since last winter but I am recuperating and getting stronger and more focused every day. I didn't start blogging again till a few weeks ago after being on down time for over six months. For me, that is a long time not to write or at least post a blurb on one of my blogs.

I really just needed to be in another space to allow my mind and my body time to recover. The loss of my house and some of my main blogs was tough but the real problem was the loss of several close friends who passed and the grief really hit me all at once. I didn't allow myself to grieve right away because I was too busy trying to make money, to travel and to survive. Cephas and I became deeply involved in the rainbow gatherings and in our vigil to Washington DC over two years in an attempt to change some oppressive legislation and regulations.

Walk through Heavens Portal today

I have a new blog to introduce in my network called "Heaven's Portal". This blog will feature previews to my book that I have aspirations to see splashed on the big screen as a full featured movie. Check out the website to read the previews I have published already and watch for much more to come. I think you'll find it good reading and intriguing subject matter.

Heaven's Portal is a story that revolves around prophetic visions and dreams as well as cataclysmic premonitions or precognition. These can involve one person or the entire world's climate or planetary collisions, comets. asteroids, solar storms, tornadoes, earthquakes, births and deaths. It's all the sixth sense intrigue and spiritual revelation you might be thirsting to drink in the fulfillment of last days prophecy. Read a particular reference to last days prophecy in the book of Revelation that involves the prophet John and his little book of the seven thunders. You'll have to read the website noted because I haven't published the preview to this story yet on Heaven's Portal. Be sure to check back often for updates.

One account that I featured is the story of my journey through the veil. I had an experience with death and lived to walk to the other side and back to tell about it. What I learned from this experience opened my mind to seek the unimaginable and to be open to the spiritual side of life like I never imagined possible.

My Blogging Business went through a lot of changes

This summer I went through a period where I just did not care to write or maintain my blogs. I had a lot of serious events with my personal family and it threw me off balance. I spent the summer traveling and trying to figure out life and wondering what I should be doing with it. Is this the mid life crisis you hear so much about? Regardless what it was, I had an emotional and detached summer up until about a month ago. Cephas and I missed the rainbow gathering this summer in Pennsylvania. That is the first time I have not gathered with thousands of people in the mountains to pray for peace and to share in a utopian experience close to nature and God. It really knocked me off balance.

In fact, both my freelance writing business and I have suffered from this series of events. So you will notice a lot of changes in my blogs. Some of them are missing and they were really good blogs. Not to worry, I'm back in the groove and can be a very prolific writer when I set my mind to it. I will resurrect the blogs that I feel are worthy the effort or I'll start some better ones.

I have already created a few new blogs that I will be launching soon right here on The Midnight Writers Blogs. I am on facebook regularly posting the links so watch for me there as themidnightwriter. If you are not my friend, please join me so we can share ideas and chat with other like minded folks. Working on the computer doesn't offer as much social interaction as one might desire so social networks like facebook are good places to get it.

One interesting change is happening for me and it is getting a lot of my focus. I'm writing a book and hoping to pitch it as a movie idea to the right people. Wish me luck there and watch for more posts and updates about my blogging network. See you in cyber space or some where down the trail.

Keep on writing.

Photo Blogging adds new Dimensions to your Blog

Photo taken in the redwoods at the Smith River in California.

I love taking photos and I think my partner Cephas loves taking pictures even more than me. At this time, we don't have an exclusive photo blog but we have been experimenting with using photos to spawn ideas and to spark blog conversation. Let me tell you, it is a very effective technique. So those of you who are at a loss for words, get out your digital camera and start taking photos of anything that catches your eye. You will be totally amazed at how much your writing will become inspired just based on the photos you capture.

Look at the photograph at the top of this post. Clear your mind and just let the image talk to you. Get a piece of paper or open your notebook/laptop and just start brainstorming. Let the ideas flow from you like water and keep writing without giving it any thought or preconceived form. I'm guessing that you can fill an entire page in a couple minutes of topics, ideas, phrases, titles, descriptions and complete lines. It would be fun to have a writing contest based on one photograph. Please share your ideas with me and tell me what this photo inspired you to write. Feel free to use it on your blog and to write a post but link back to my blog and give photo credits. Have fun and tell me what ideas you come up with for photo blogging.

Blog Me Back Too

Literally, I want you to Blog Me Back.

The sole purpose of this blog is to encourage reciprocal blogging where bloggers write reciprocal reviews for one another. Each post can be random regarding topic and length and does not even have to be a return post for one that was recently written about this blog in particular. In fact, I encourage bloggers to choose one of my blogs randomly and to create topics that are unusual, versatile and even a little surprising.

Pack your Bags for Adventure at World Class Hotels

I finally did it! I created a travel blog that features classy world hotels. As long as I'm perpetually traveling and staying in motels/hotels, I will have a peak interest in this area. It's a great niche about which I'm getting excited. The possibilities for publishing real stories about real world class hotels is foremost on my mind. If only I could find a way to review these hotels with a free pass to stay and enjoy the space. That would be an opportunity to write an honest review. Think I should start mailing proposals?

This blog is a brand new adventure for me with only about two months in age and 14 posts total but I'm holding high hopes for its progress and success. It's already in hot demand by the advertisers on Pay Per Post so time will tell the story, to cop a metaphor. One main objective for Classy World Hotels is to seek out and feature one castle every month and two exquisite world hotels of prestige and appeal. The quest will be more fun than the actual writing. Now you can see why I'd like to review these sites personally. Join me for tours around the world and learn about the unique hotels for world class travelers.

Our Trip to Tulsa

We had planned a special 2 day trip to Tulsa for the kids over spring break. We got the bags packed, loaded up the car, set the home adt security system, and got out the door. We had barely left town when we realized my brother in law wanted to come along. We came back to town and picked him before heading on our way again.

When arriving in Tulsa, we checked into our hotel. We stayed at The Renaissance. It had a small indoor water park for the kids to play in for a bit. They were both so excited about this part of the trip. We changed into our swim suits and went right down there. It was only about 3 foot tall so my oldest daughter could touch in the entire thing. This was great, so I didn't have to worry about her too much. They had a blast sliding and playing on the lily pads. We spent about 2 hours here before going back to change clothes.

We got ready and went out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. This is one of my favorite places to eat. Our 2 year old quickly figured out she was allowed to throw peanuts on the floor and had a blast! After an amazing meal, we stopped by Target and then headed back to the hotel.

We had a nice nights sleep and then the next day went to the Oklahoma Aquarium. They had so much stuff to see. The kids loved the shrimp that they could touch. They were also able to feed the turtles with food on the end of a long stick. There were so many different types of fish to look at and enjoy. We spent about 4 hours there and looked at everything. We then made a quick stop off in the gift shop and got both girls a new toy. After that, we were headed on home after a quick stop along the way for ice cream. We had a great time and this is a trip we would enjoy again for sure!
