Petra in 2011 Blog is Active

I started Petra in 2011 a while back but I basically didn't write on it until this week. With the latest developments in Egypt and Jordan, I realized it is the time to write about our upcoming world peace gathering in Petra. As the Spirit nudged me, the door is open. I created this blog because I felt a need to create a space on which to focus the intention for this peace prayer assembly. Now I can post updates on the planning process, gain support and momentum from others while getting feedback on the whole experience. It will be crucial to understand a little bit about the culture, the government and Jordan's religions so we can have respect for all of this and embrace it as part of our gathering prayer.

In this way, the purpose to gather as diverse people with one focus on peace will be better actualized. I look forward to sharing this journey with all the souls who feel like being part of it. This is an exciting event and I'm really enthused about the blog as a forum for the gathering to begin before we ever set our feet in Jordan.
